Did you ever notice that when you try to be funny --really funny, not teasingly funny--you just end up annoying everyone?

I got some new rubber shoes from my brother for Christmas so I can walk in the backyard without fear of chicken residue. Life is much better. I wish there was something like this I could wear at work.
